Key Performances on Both Sides

The Memphis Tigers showcased their depth and talent throughout the game. PJ Haggerty led all scorers with 20 points and contributed significantly with seven assists and two steals, proving his versatility on both ends of the court. Dain Dainja also had an outstanding performance for Memphis, scoring 18 points and grabbing eight rebounds while shooting an efficient 71 percent from the field. Moussa Cisse's defensive presence was felt as he added three steals to his stat line along with ten points.

For Temple, their offense was evenly distributed among players, but they struggled to contain Memphis's fast-paced attack in crucial moments of the game. Despite this challenge, they managed to keep pace through consistent shooting from beyond the arc and inside paint.

Strategic Moves Lead to Victory

One of Memphis's key advantages came from their ability to capitalize on turnovers and convert them into fast-break points. They scored an impressive 20 fast-break points compared to Temple's six, highlighting their ability to turn defense into offense quickly.

Additionally, Memphis dominated inside paint scoring 40 points against Temple’s defense which struggled to contain drives and post plays effectively throughout most of the match-up.

As fans look ahead, they can mark their calendars for another exciting matchup as The Memphis Tigers are set for an away game against South Florida Bulls at Yuengling Center in Tampa on February 13th at 9:00 PM EDT. This upcoming contest will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN2 for fans wanting to catch every moment live.
