The game, held at the Jack Breslin Students Events Center in East Lansing, saw the home team Spartans take control early on. By halftime, they had established a lead with 28 points against the Scarlet Knights' 22. However, it was in the second half that Michigan State truly shone, adding an impressive 45 points to their tally and leaving their opponents trailing by a significant margin.

Michigan State's offensive efforts were spearheaded by their remarkable three-point shooting accuracy which stood at an outstanding 48 percent. Their prowess from beyond the arc resulted in them making twelve three-pointers throughout the game. The team also excelled in free throws, converting eleven out of fifteen attempts which translated to a solid free throw percentage of 73.

Defensively, Michigan State outperformed Rutgers as well; they collected more rebounds (37), steals (4), and blocks (3). These defensive efforts limited Rutgers' scoring opportunities and disrupted their offensive flow.

The Spartans showed exceptional teamwork with nineteen assists leading to scores compared to thirteen by Rutgers. This teamwork was further highlighted by Michigan State's superior assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.38.

On offense for Rutgers University's Scarlet Knights, field goal attempts were frequent but less effective; they made only twenty out of fifty-four shots resulting in a field goal percentage of just 37 percent. From beyond the arc, they managed seven successful shots from eighteen attempts giving them a three-point shooting percentage close to forty percent.

Despite being strong on defense with two blocks and one steal during playtime that spanned over three hours and twenty minutes for both teams alike due to conference regulations – it wasn't enough against Spartan’s robust gameplay which included ten fast break points contributing significantly towards their win margin.

As fans look ahead after this commanding performance by Michigan State Spartans basketball team – attention turns towards next challenge: Minnesota Golden Gophers will visit Jack Breslin Students Events Center on January 18th at around six-thirty PM local time where fans can tune into Fox Sports one channel two hundred nineteen for live broadcast action across nation ensuring not miss moment as these two teams face off once again this season!
