The first half saw a competitive start with both teams exchanging leads. The Illini initially took control with a strong offensive showing, leading by as much as 5 points. However, Michigan's defense tightened up as they recorded 4 blocks and forced turnovers that allowed them to close the gap. Aday Mara was instrumental in this period for Michigan with his defensive presence and scoring efficiency.


Second Half


In the second half, it was all about Michigan's offensive explosion. They outscored Illinois by an impressive margin thanks to their effective shooting from both inside and outside the paint.
