The offensive efforts were led by contributions across the board, as evidenced by their collective tally of assists which stood at thirteen for this encounter. The team also showed tenacity on defense with nine steals and two blocks contributing to their defensive efforts. Points from turnovers were significant for both teams; however, it was particularly impactful for Minnesota who scored thirteen points off turnovers.

Rebounding played a crucial role in this game as well; Minnesota gathered twenty-nine rebounds including nine offensive boards which helped them secure ten second-chance points. Their effort inside was further highlighted by scoring thirty-six points in the paint.


On free throws, Minnesota had an accuracy of seventy percent making fourteen out of twenty attempts from the line which contributed to keeping them within striking distance throughout much of the game.

Despite these commendable efforts and statistics that reflect a competitive spirit, it wasn't enough to overcome Ohio State's performance on their home court where they capitalized on key opportunities and maintained consistent scoring across both halves.


Turning attention towards individual performances from Ohio State players would reveal that they had seven blocks and eight steals indicating strong defensive pressure throughout the game. They also boasted higher efficiency from three-point range shooting an impressive fifty-three percent compared to Minnesota's twenty-nine percent.
