Mississippi State Bulldogs Face Off Against Georgia Bulldogs at Stegeman Coliseum

In a closely contested battle at Stegeman Coliseum, the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Georgia Bulldogs clashed in a game that saw both teams fight for dominance. The Mississippi State Bulldogs displayed a tenacious defense throughout the game, managing to block two shots and accumulate an impressive total of twelve steals. Their efforts on defense were complemented by eleven assists on offense. Despite their hard work, they struggled with shooting accuracy, making only eighteen out of sixty-one field goal attempts which resulted in a field goal percentage of thirty percent. From beyond the arc, they managed to convert seven out of twenty-seven three-point attempts, rounding out to twenty-six percent success rate.


The visiting team also had difficulty from the free-throw line; they made just seven out of twenty-two attempts which is approximately thirty-two percent. However, they showed strength under the basket with thirty-nine total rebounds—twenty-three defensive and thirteen offensive—and eighteen points scored in the paint.


On offense for Mississippi State Bulldogs, second-chance opportunities were capitalized upon as they scored twelve second-chance points. They also took advantage of turnovers by scoring fifteen points off turnovers committed by their opponents.


Conversely, The Georgia Bulldogs had their own set of challenges but managed to come away with a victory due largely to their performance at the free-throw line where they excelled with an eighty-one percent completion rate (twenty-five made free throws). They also dominated rebounding with forty-seven total rebounds—thirty defensive and ten offensive—and matched their opponents' eighteen points in paint.


Despite committing more turnovers than Mississippi State (eighteen compared to nine), The Georgia team was able to maintain control for most parts of the game as evidenced by fourteen lead changes and six times when scores were tied throughout playtime.
