Bulldogs' Efforts and Highlights


Despite the tough competition, Mississippi State showed moments of brilliance and determination. The team managed to block six shots and steal the ball eight times from their opponents. Their effort on assists was notable as well, contributing to 14 successful plays that led to scores. From behind the arc, they struggled somewhat with a three-point shooting percentage of only 20 percent but found more success in two-point attempts with a completion rate of 51 percent.


RJ Melendez stood out for his all-around performance for the Bulldogs by scoring 11 points, grabbing five rebounds, dishing out three assists alongside two steals and three blocks. KeShawn Murphy also made significant contributions with an impressive double-double consisting of 18 points and 11 rebounds while blocking three shots himself. Josh Hubbard led the team in scoring with 21 points and added four assists to his game tally.

Crimson Tide's Dominant Performance


On the other side of the court, Alabama showcased why they are one of the top teams this season. Their offensive firepower was on full display as they shot an efficient 52 percent from field goals overall including an astonishingly high three-point percentage at nearly half their attempts (49 percent). The home team also excelled in distributing the ball which is evident from their total assist count standing at twice that of turnovers.


Alabama's bench played a crucial role by adding an impressive total of 39 points to their scoreline which underscores their depth in talent. The Crimson Tide capitalized on turnovers better than Mississippi State did by scoring twenty points off turnovers compared to just three by Mississippi State.
