The game was marked by intense competition, with seven times tied and nine lead changes. The Missouri Tigers put up a strong fight in both halves, scoring 28 points in the first and adding another 36 in the second. However, it was not enough to overcome the home team's performance which saw them match the first half points and surge ahead with 45 points in the second half.

The Tigers showed notable effort on offense with a total of 64 points. They were particularly effective inside, claiming an impressive 42 points in paint. Their shooting from two-point range was solid at a rate of approximately 52 percent but struggled beyond the arc with only about 17 percent from three-point territory.

Defensively, Missouri made their presence felt through aggressive play that resulted in twelve steals and two blocks. Despite this effort, they committed twenty personal fouls over the course of play. On rebounds, they managed to secure thirty-three compared to their opponents' thirty-four.

One area where Missouri excelled was capitalizing on turnovers; they scored fourteen points off turnovers created by their defensive hustle. However, ball handling proved challenging as they turned over possession fourteen times themselves.

The Florida Gators demonstrated strong teamwork throughout as evidenced by their fifteen assists and better assist-turnover ratio than that of Missouri's nine assists ratio. Their shooting accuracy also played a key role; hitting about forty-seven percent from field goals overall and an impressive approximate forty-four percent from three-point land contributed significantly to their victory margin.

Looking ahead for fans of The Missouri Tigers is another exciting game scheduled against Arkansas Razorbacks at Mizzou Arena located in Columbia MO on January 18th at 8:00 PM local time (9:00 PM Eastern). This encounter will be broadcast nationally on SEC Network channel six hundred eleven for those who wish to follow along live.
