Bulldogs Barely Best Tigers at Mizzou Arena in Nail-Biter

The Missouri Tigers showcased resilience on their home court, with an impressive display of defensive prowess totaling seven blocks against the Bulldogs. Their offensive efforts were led by an aggressive approach in the paint, contributing to 36 points from close range. Despite trailing behind at halftime with 38 points to Georgia's 40, they fought back valiantly but ultimately fell short by scoring only 30 points in the second half.


Missouri's shooting was consistent from inside the arc as they hit half of their two-point attempts. However, they struggled beyond the three-point line where they managed just six makes from nineteen attempts for a modest thirty-two percent conversion rate. Free throws were a bright spot for Missouri as they capitalized on these opportunities with an impressive eighty-six percent success rate.

The rebounding battle was closely contested as well; Missouri grabbed thirty-one rebounds including seven offensive boards which contributed to fifteen second-chance points.


Georgia's performance was marked by balanced scoring across both halves and efficient shooting that included forty-seven percent from field goals overall and forty-three percent from three-point territory. They also made seventy-one percent of free throws and collected thirty-four total rebounds while committing fewer personal fouls than Missouri.
