The Missouri Tigers faced a challenging contest against the Tennessee Volunteers, with the final scoreboard reading 72-67 in favor of the visiting team. In front of 10,089 spectators, the Missouri Tigers started strong with an early lead but could not maintain their momentum against a determined Tennessee side. The first half ended narrowly in favor of Missouri at 29-26. However, as play resumed, it was evident that Tennessee had regrouped and were ready to challenge for every point.

The Volunteers' offense proved potent in the second half as they racked up an impressive 46 points compared to their first-half tally. Their shooting accuracy from two-point range stood at 48 percent and they managed to convert five out of seventeen three-point attempts into valuable points on the board.

On defense, Tennessee showcased solid resistance with six blocks and nine steals contributing significantly to their victory. They also capitalized on turnovers by scoring 15 points off them and grabbed a total of 39 rebounds throughout the game.

Despite these challenges from Tennessee's side, it was not all smooth sailing for them as they committed more personal fouls than Missouri – totaling at seventeen – which could have tipped scales if exploited effectively by Missouri players.

The Tigers displayed commendable resilience throughout this encounter. They recorded eleven assists over ten from Tennessee and made ten three-pointers at an improved rate of thirty-seven percent compared to twenty-nine percent by their opponents. Furthermore, they showed precision from free-throw line making fifteen out of twenty-one attempts which translated into seventy-one percent success rate - slightly better than seventy percent achieved by Volunteers.

Missouri's defensive efforts were highlighted by five blocks and seven steals but ultimately it wasn't enough to secure victory on this occasion despite matching fast break points with six each and equaling points off turnovers at fifteen each for both teams.

As we look ahead after this closely fought battle where lead changed hands eleven times and scores were tied four times during play; fans can anticipate another exciting matchup when University of Missouri takes on Arkansas Razorbacks away from home turf at Bud Walton Arena located in Fayetteville on February 24th scheduled for an AM tip-off local time (11:00 AM Central Time). This upcoming game will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN2 channel two hundred nine ensuring supporters won’t miss any action regardless where they are located across country or globe alike.
