Missouri Tigers Set to Clash with Auburn at Mizzou Arena

As the Missouri Tigers prepare to host the Auburn Tigers at Mizzou Arena, fans are eager for what promises to be a riveting encounter. The upcoming game, scheduled for March 5th at 8:00 PM local time, will see Missouri looking to capitalize on their home-court advantage and reverse recent trends.

Analyzing the past performances of the Missouri Tigers reveals a team that has been struggling with consistency. In their last three games, they have shown an ability to score but have had issues on defense. Against Arkansas, they put up 73 points but allowed 88 in return. Their shooting from beyond the arc was lackluster at just 26 percent, while their free-throw accuracy was impressive at 93 percent.

In a closer contest against Tennessee Volunteers, Missouri managed to keep the game within reach but ultimately fell short by five points. They improved their three-point shooting slightly to 37 percent and maintained a solid free-throw performance with a 71 percent success rate.

The trend of narrow margins continued against Ole Miss Rebels where Missouri scored an encouraging 76 points; however, they conceded just three more in a tight finish. Their field goal percentage stood firm at around 47 percent both from two-point range and overall from the field.

One area of concern is turnovers; consistently recording eight across games can be detrimental against high-caliber teams like Auburn who may capitalize on these mistakes.

Missouri's assist-to-turnover ratio shows room for improvement as well; hovering around or below unity is not ideal when trying to establish fluid offensive play. Rebounding has also been average – not dominating but not poor either – which suggests battles under both baskets could prove pivotal in this matchup.

As we look ahead to this clash between two Tiger squads, fans can expect an intense battle as Missouri seeks redemption on their home court after recent setbacks. With each team bringing its own strengths and weaknesses into play, it will undoubtedly be an exciting match-up for followers of college basketball.

Fans can catch all the action live from Mizzou Arena on March 5th via SEC Network broadcast or attend in person in Columbia for what promises to be another thrilling chapter in college basketball's regular season narrative.
