Missouri's Rally Falls Short Against Auburn's Century Mark at Mizzou Arena

The Missouri Tigers faced a challenging contest at Mizzou Arena, ending with the scoreboard reading 101-74 in favor of the visiting Auburn Tigers. The home team now stands with an overall record of 13-0, while their opponents improved to a commendable 13-rank standing.

Missouri Tigers VS Auburn Tigers

From the opening tip-off, the Missouri Tigers showed determination on their home court. Despite trailing at halftime with a score of 39-44, they continued to fight through the second half. However, Auburn's offense proved too potent, adding an impressive 57 points in the latter period to secure their victory.

Missouri's performance was marked by resilience and effort. They excelled at free throw accuracy with an outstanding rate of 89 percent from the line and made sure to capitalize on these opportunities by sinking 31 free throws. Their defensive efforts resulted in seven steals and six blocks throughout the game but were overshadowed by Auburn’s eight blocks and four steals which contributed significantly to their win.

Auburn’s offensive efficiency was evident as they shot a remarkable 52 percent from field goal range and an even more impressive 62 percent for two-point attempts. Their ability to convert chances into points was further demonstrated by scoring nearly half of their total points (48) inside the paint.

The rebounding battle also went in favor of Auburn who collected a total of 41 rebounds compared to Missouri’s less dominant tally of 28. This disparity played a crucial role in second-chance opportunities where Auburn outscored Missouri with a significant margin.

Looking ahead for Missouri fans, there is another opportunity for redemption as The Tigers will take on LSU Tigers away from home at Pete Maravich Assembly Center located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This upcoming game is scheduled for March 9th at 7:30 PM Central Time and will be broadcasted live on SEC Network for fans eager to follow along as The Tigers seek to bounce back from this setback.
