Nebraska Cornhuskers Dominate at Pinnacle Bank Arena Against Duquesne Dukes

The Nebraska Cornhuskers improved their season record to an impressive 89-79 victory over the Duquesne Dukes at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. The home team's offensive efficiency was on full display as they outscored their opponents in a game that saw several lead changes and both teams tied seven times.

The Cornhuskers showcased a strong shooting performance, converting 49 percent of their field goal attempts and an outstanding 90 percent from the free-throw line. Their accuracy from beyond the arc was also notable, with a 38 percent success rate. Nebraska's offense was facilitated by distributing 18 assists, which contributed to their high-scoring output.


Defensively, the Cornhuskers managed to block two shots and recorded one steal, while committing only 13 personal fouls throughout the game. They were disciplined in possession as well, turning over the ball just twice compared to six turnovers by the Dukes. This careful ball handling resulted in an impressive assist-to-turnover ratio of nine.


On the boards, Nebraska grabbed a total of 29 rebounds with seven coming offensively which led to eight second-chance points. The team's ability to convert inside was evident with them scoring 32 points in paint.


The Dukes put up a valiant effort despite falling short on the scoreboard. They shot at a respectable rate of 44 percent from field goals and were nearly flawless from free throw line with an accuracy of around 88 percent. Their three-point shooting struggled slightly at around only around 28 percent success rate but they did manage to sink eight shots from distance.


Duquesne’s defense tallied three blocks and one steal but committed more personal fouls than their counterparts with a total of twenty-five fouls leading to two players being foul-outed during playtime. On rebounding front, they outdid Nebraska by collecting thirty-seven rebounds including thirteen offensive ones which helped them score sixteen second-chance points.


As for individual performances for Nebraska, no specific player statistics were provided; however it is clear that it was a collective effort that secured them this win against Duquesne University's team.
