As the Nebraska Cornhuskers prepare to host the Wisconsin Badgers at Pinnacle Bank Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be a thrilling encounter. The last time Nebraska took to the court on December 21st against North Dakota's Fighting Hawks, they showcased an impressive offensive display. Scoring 83 points with a field goal percentage of 46 and converting free throws at a rate of 74 percent, they demonstrated their ability to maintain pressure and convert opportunities. Their three-point shooting was consistent as well, matching their two-point success with precision from beyond the arc.

Defensively, Nebraska has shown tenacity in recent games. Against Michigan State on December 10th in a conference game that saw numerous lead changes and ties, they emerged victorious with solid defensive rebounds and an effective assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.0 – indicative of smart ball-handling under pressure.

The Wisconsin Badgers will undoubtedly pose a challenge; however, based on past performances by both teams this season, it's clear that NEB has been building momentum. With home-court advantage and coming off strong showings in previous outings where they outscored opponents in second-half play significantly – including an explosive second half against North Dakota – there is reason for optimism among Cornhusker fans.

Wisconsin will need to be wary of NEB's ability to turn defense into offense quickly; points off turnovers could prove pivotal in this matchup. The Badgers will bring their own strengths into this contest but facing NEB on their home turf after such convincing displays could tilt the scales in favor of the home team.

As we look forward to this clash between two determined sides, fans can expect Nebraska’s players to capitalize on their recent form and deliver another spirited performance aiming for victory before their loyal supporters.
