The Nevada Wolf Pack faced a challenging contest against the New Mexico Lobos, concluding with a score of 89-55. The Wolf Pack now stand with an additional loss to their record, while the Lobos add another victory to theirs.

At The Pit in Albuquerque, the home crowd witnessed the Nevada team struggle to find their rhythm against a formidable 25th-ranked New Mexico squad. Despite putting up a valiant effort, the Wolf Pack were unable to match the offensive efficiency of their opponents. Nevada ended the game shooting 34 percent from the field on 56 attempts and managed only a 24 percent success rate from beyond the arc on 17 attempts.


The first half saw Nevada accumulate just 24 points compared to New Mexico's 38. In an attempt to turn things around after halftime, they improved slightly with an additional 31 points in the second half but it wasn't enough as New Mexico surged ahead with an impressive 51 points in that same period.


Nevada's players fought hard under pressure; they tallied nine assists and secured four steals alongside four blocks. However, turnovers proved costly for them as they gave up possession fifteen times which led directly to eleven points for New Mexico. On top of that, personal fouls were called fifteen times against Nevada players throughout this intense conference game.


Rebounding was one area where Nevada showed tenacity grabbing thirty-two boards including twelve offensive rebounds which contributed to thirteen second-chance points. They also scored twenty-six points in paint demonstrating some strength inside despite tough defense from New Mexico who had six blocks and nine steals over both halves.


Free throw accuracy was one positive aspect for Nevada; they made thirteen out of eighteen free throws translating into a solid seventy-two percent completion rate. This performance at the line was crucial as it accounted for nearly a quarter of their total scoring output.
