New Mexico Lobos Set to Clash with Jacksonville State Gamecocks at The Pit

As the New Mexico Lobos prepare to host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at The Pit in Albuquerque, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying matchup. The Lobos have been on a tear lately, and their recent performances suggest they're not slowing down anytime soon.

New Mexico Lobos VS Jacksonville State Gamecocks

In their last game on November 16 against the Mustangs at Moody Coliseum, UNM showcased a dominant performance that ended in an 84-63 victory. Their offensive prowess was on full display as they shot an impressive 52 percent from the field and 61 percent from two-point range. With a fast-paced offense that racked up 21 fast break points and a defense that snagged nine steals, it's clear that UNM has found a winning formula.

The Lobos' ability to control the paint was also evident as they scored 40 points inside while pulling down 38 rebounds. This kind of physical play has become a hallmark of their game and will likely be critical against JVST.

Looking back further, UNM's home game against South Alabama Jaguars on November 12 resulted in another win (80-74), where they demonstrated resilience by overcoming turnovers and maintaining composure under pressure. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood out at an impressive 3.17, highlighting their efficient ball movement.

The most telling statistic comes from their November 8 encounter with Southern Utah Thunderbirds where UNM emerged victorious with an exciting scoreline of 89-81. They showed off their depth by having multiple players contribute across the board – something JVST will need to watch out for.

While statistics favor UNM heavily going into this game, it would be unwise to underestimate JVST completely. Every team brings its unique challenges, and JVST is no exception; however, given recent performances by both teams, it seems like another win could very well be on the horizon for UNM.

Fans should mark their calendars for November 26 when these two teams face off at The Pit in Albuquerque. Tip-off is scheduled for midnight local time (Mountain Time Zone). Those unable to attend can catch all the action live via MW Network online broadcast networks – ensuring no one misses out on what promises to be another thrilling display of college basketball prowess by New Mexico Lobos.
