First Half

The first half saw the Pack come out firing on all cylinders. They quickly established a lead with a barrage of three-pointers, sinking 15 out of 31 attempts for an impressive 48 percent accuracy from beyond the arc. Chris Howell was instrumental in this offensive surge, contributing significantly to his team's scoring efforts. By halftime, New Mexico had built a substantial lead with a scoreline of 55-33.

Second Half

In the second half, the Lobos maintained their momentum and continued to apply pressure on both ends of the court. Their defensive prowess was evident as they recorded five blocks and seven steals throughout the game. JT Rock stood tall in defense with three blocks while also adding valuable points on offense.

Despite some resistance from the Academy's side—who managed to score consistently within the paint—their efforts were not enough to close down New Mexico's lead. The Falcons struggled with turnovers and were unable to match up against New Mexico’s efficient ball movement which resulted in 22 assists for them compared to Air Force’s 12.

Post-game Analysis

The post-game report for New Mexico highlights how they capitalized on fast breaks and second-chance opportunities that contributed significantly towards their final tally of points off turnovers being double that of their opponents'.
