The North Carolina State team showed resilience and effort throughout the game. Trey Parker led his team with 13 points, showcasing his scoring ability from both inside and beyond the arc. Breon Pass also made significant contributions with 12 points and demonstrated efficiency from the free-throw line. On defense and rebounding fronts, Brandon Huntley-Hatfield stood out by securing 10 rebounds and contributing defensively with one block.

Despite these individual performances, as a whole, North Carolina State struggled in several areas. The team shot only 36 percent from field goals compared to Louisville's impressive 64 percent. Additionally, while managing to draw fouls effectively leading to 17 free throw attempts, they only converted 65 percent of those opportunities into points.

Cardinals' Dominant Display

On the other side of the court, Louisville showcased why they were formidable opponents by maintaining high efficiency across both halves of play. Their offensive strategy paid dividends as they achieved a staggering field goal percentage of 64 percent and were particularly lethal from beyond three-point range hitting at a rate of 58 percent.

Louisville’s balanced attack was evident through their distribution of assists which led to multiple players contributing significantly on offense. Their defensive efforts were equally impressive as they managed nine steals over North Carolina State’s turnovers which translated into crucial fast-break points.
