North Texas Mean Green Set to Host Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils at UNT Coliseum in Men's Basketball Showdown

As the North Texas Mean Green prepare to face off against the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils at the UNT Coliseum, fans are buzzing with anticipation. The Mean Green have been showing a strong performance on their home court, and this upcoming game is expected to be no exception.

Montana State Bobcats VS North Texas Mean Green

In their last home game on November 26, North Texas dominated Angelo State Rams with a convincing 79-50 victory. Their offensive prowess was on full display as they shot an impressive 45 percent from the field and an even more notable 39 percent from beyond the arc. With such shooting efficiency, it's clear that North Texas has found a rhythm in scoring that could spell trouble for any opponent.

The defensive end for UNT has been just as formidable. They held Angelo State to a mere 33 percent shooting from the field and an unremarkable 27 percent from three-point range. This defensive intensity is something that Mississippi Valley State will have to overcome if they hope to compete in Denton.

Looking back further into UNT's season, their away game against Towson Tigers on November 19 showcased their ability to control both ends of the floor outside of their home arena as well. The Mean Green secured a solid win with a score of 65-39, where they excelled in points off turnovers (24) and fast break points (20), demonstrating their capability of turning defense into offense seamlessly.

However, not all games have been smooth sailing for North Texas; during one of their neutral site games against LSU Tigers on November 17, they faced challenges despite putting up a good fight in what was an intense matchup with nine times tied and twenty-two lead changes before ultimately falling short by four points (62-66). This loss highlighted areas where improvement is needed but also showed resilience and competitiveness that can be built upon moving forward.

With these past performances in mind, it seems likely that North Texas will continue its strong play at home against MVSU. The Delta Devils should not be underestimated though; every team has potential surprises up its sleeve.

Fans eager to support North Texas can mark their calendars for December 2nd when the action kicks off at 7:00 PM at UNT Coliseum. For those unable to attend in person, you won't miss out – you can catch all the excitement live via ESPN+ online broadcast network.
