The game, held at UNT Coliseum in Denton, saw the home team take control from the start. The North Texas Mean Green established an early lead with 40 points in the first half and maintained their dominance by adding another 39 points in the second half. Their offensive efforts were matched by a strong defensive performance that limited Angelo State Rams to just 17 points in the first half and a total of 50 points for the game.

The North Texas squad showcased superior shooting accuracy with an overall field goal percentage of 45 percent compared to Angelo State's 33 percent. From beyond the arc, they hit nine three-pointers at an impressive rate of 39 percent. Their prowess on offense was complemented by their ability to draw fouls and capitalize on them, making 24 out of their total free throw attempts which translated into a free throw percentage of roughly 71 percent.

On defense, North Texas was just as formidable. They matched Angelo State with three blocks each but edged them out with six steals over Angelo State's five. This defensive pressure contributed to ten turnovers for Angelo State while maintaining only ten themselves for North Texas.

This advantage also gave them ten second-chance points which were crucial in extending their lead throughout the game.

Angelo State did have moments where they shone through individual efforts; they made six three-pointers and had an excellent free throw percentage at around eighty percent but struggled to keep up with North Texas' relentless pace and execution on both ends of the court.

Looking ahead, fans can anticipate seeing more from this dynamic North Texas team as they prepare for their next challenge against Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils on December two at seven o'clock PM Central Time.
