In front of an enthusiastic crowd of 3,065 spectators, the North Texas Mean Green displayed a strong offensive performance against their opponents. By halftime, they had already established a lead with 41 points compared to the Delta Devils' 28. They continued their momentum into the second half by adding another 38 points to seal their triumph.

The Mean Green showcased impressive shooting accuracy throughout the game with an overall field goal percentage of approximately 54 percent and were particularly effective from beyond the arc, hitting about 44 percent of their three-point attempts. Their prowess was also evident in two-point field goals where they achieved around a remarkable 61 percent success rate.

Defensively, North Texas was just as dominant. They outrebounded Mississippi Valley State by grabbing a total of 35 rebounds – including both defensive (22) and offensive (11) boards – compared to Delta Devils' total rebound count of 30. The home team's defense also managed to block two shots and steal seven times from their opponents.

Contributions came from all over as North Texas players dished out a collective total of thirteen assists which speaks volumes about their teamwork on court that evening. Moreover, they capitalized on turnovers by scoring fourteen points off them while maintaining better control over possession with only eight turnovers themselves.

On Mississippi Valley State's side, despite being outplayed, there were some notable efforts as well. They made three out of eight attempts from three-point range which is roughly around a respectable rate of about thirty-eight percent for long-range shots. Additionally, they showed tenacity in scoring twenty-two points inside paint and secured eleven second-chance points through persistent effort on offensive rebounds.

However, it wasn't enough against a well-rounded performance by North Texas who not only excelled offensively but also stifled many opportunities for Mississippi Valley State through solid defensive play leading up to this comprehensive win.
