Can Northwestern Wildcats Outmaneuver Florida Atlantic Owls in Brooklyn?

As the Northwestern Wildcats prepare to face the Florida Atlantic Owls at the Barclays Center, fans are eager to see if their team can carry forward the momentum from their recent performances. The Wildcats have shown a mix of resilience and vulnerability in their past games, which sets up an intriguing matchup against the Owls.

Northwestern Wildcats VS Florida Atlantic Owls

In their last game on March 15 against Wisconsin Badgers at the Target Center, NW fell short with a final score of 61-70. Despite this loss, there were positives to take away; notably, they shot free throws at an impressive 76 percent accuracy and managed to secure six offensive rebounds. However, they struggled from beyond the arc with just a 35 percent success rate on three-point attempts and were outrebounded by six boards overall.

Contrastingly, on March 10 against Minnesota Golden Gophers at Welsh-Ryan Arena, NW showcased what they are capable of when firing on all cylinders. They dominated with a commanding victory of 90-66. Their field goal percentage was an outstanding 59 percent and even more impressive was their three-point shooting at a scorching hot 56 percent. The assist-to-turnover ratio was off-the-charts good: for every turnover committed by NW players that night there were nearly twenty-three assists dished out – highlighting exceptional ball movement and decision-making.

However, consistency has been an issue for NW as evidenced by their performance against Michigan State Spartans on March 7 where they scored only 49 points while shooting just 35 percent from the field in East Lansing's Jack Breslin Students Events Center. Turnovers plagued them as well; twelve turnovers can be too much to overcome especially when your assists-to-turnover ratio is below one.

The upcoming game will require Northwestern Wildcats to focus heavily on maintaining strong defense without fouling excessively as they did in previous matches (17 personal fouls each against both Wisconsin Badgers and Michigan State Spartans). Additionally, improving rebounding efforts will be crucial given that FAU is known for its tenacity around the glass.

The key battle could well be decided beyond the three-point line where NW needs to find consistency after fluctuating performances recently. If they can replicate or come close to their astonishing shooting performance seen during their rout over Minnesota Golden Gophers rather than falter like in other outings – it could very well tilt this contest in favor of Northwestern Wildcats.

Fans should mark their calendars for this exciting encounter scheduled for March 22nd at noon Eastern Time (ET) at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. The game promises high stakes as both teams vie for victory - it's not one you want to miss! Tune into your local sports network or stream online to catch all live-action unfold right before your eyes.
