Second Half

In the second half, Virginia Tech extended their lead further. The Hokies capitalized on turnovers and fast breaks to widen the gap. Their bench played a crucial role by adding depth and energy that proved too much for ND's defense. The Golden Domers struggled with turnovers throughout the game, committing a total of 13 which led to several scoring opportunities for Tech.

The game highlighted what went wrong for Notre Dame Fighting Irish: missed opportunities on offense and defensive lapses allowed Virginia Tech to dominate key stretches of play.
