First Half

The first half was a closely contested battle with both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The Fighting Irish managed to score 20 points while holding the Panthers to just 23 points. Carson Towt made his presence felt on defense with significant rebounds and assists that kept ND within striking distance.

Second Half

The second half saw an offensive explosion from both sides, but it was Pittsburgh who capitalized more effectively. The Panthers outscored ND by scoring an impressive 50 points compared to Notre Dame's 48 in this period. Brady Koehler contributed defensively with blocks and rebounds but couldn't prevent Pitt's surge led by their efficient shooting beyond the arc.

Key Performances

Logan Imes stood out for ND with his all-around performance, contributing significantly on both ends of the court with points and steals that kept them competitive throughout most of the game. Despite these efforts, turnovers proved costly for ND as they struggled against Pitt’s fast break opportunities which accounted for a substantial portion of their scoring.

In post-game analysis, it was evident that while Notre Dame showed flashes of potential through individual performances like those from Imes and Towt, consistency remains a key area needing improvement moving forward.
