Rebounding was another area where Ohio State overpowered New Orleans; pulling down a total of 49 rebounds - including a significant number on offense that led to second-chance opportunities resulting in an additional score of twenty points for Ohio State. In contrast, New Orleans managed only twenty-eight rebounds throughout the game.


Defensively, Ohio State also stood out with six steals and three blocks contributing significantly to twelve turnovers by New Orleans which translated into seventeen points off turnovers for Ohio State.
