The game was a showcase of offensive efficiency for the Ohio State Buckeyes. They shot an impressive 56 percent from the field and an even more remarkable 50 percent from beyond the arc. The team's two-point attempts were particularly effective, with a conversion rate of 58 percent. Dominating inside, they racked up 50 points in the paint compared to their opponents' 32.

On defense, Ohio State outperformed Iowa as well, grabbing a total of 36 rebounds—23 defensive and ten offensive—while also blocking three shots. Their defensive efforts translated into offense with nine fast break points and capitalizing on turnovers by scoring 15 points off them.

The Buckeyes displayed teamwork with fifteen assists equal to that of their opponents but had an edge in ball handling with fewer turnovers (11) than Iowa (14). This led to a better assist-to-turnover ratio for Ohio State at approximately 1.36 compared to Iowa's ratio which hovered just above one.

Iowa Hawkeyes did put up notable numbers despite falling short on the scoreboard. They made eleven three-pointers at nearly a 46 percent clip and were efficient from the free-throw line making approximately 86 percent of their attempts. However, they struggled to keep pace with Ohio State's scoring bursts especially in the second half where they were outscored by fourteen points.

As fans look ahead, they can anticipate seeing The Ohio State Buckeyes take on Illinois Fighting Illini at State Farm Center in Champaign on January twenty-fifth at seven PM Eastern Time. The game will be nationally broadcasted on ESPN channel two hundred six for fans who wish to follow along live as it unfolds.
