Ohio State Buckeyes Outpaced by Nebraska Cornhuskers at Pinnacle Bank Arena

In an intense conference game at Pinnacle Bank Arena, the Ohio State Buckeyes faced off against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Despite a strong start that saw them put up 35 points in the first half, they were unable to maintain their momentum, adding only 34 more in the second. The team's overall shooting was respectable with a field goal percentage of 48 and they managed to convert on 58 percent of their two-point attempts. From beyond the arc, they hit eight three-pointers at a rate of 35 percent.


The Buckeyes' defense racked up seven blocks and managed two steals over the course of play. On offense, they distributed well with nineteen assists but turned over possession nine times. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an impressive 2.38 despite these turnovers.


Rebounding was an area where Ohio State could have seen improvement; they grabbed twenty-eight rebounds throughout the game—twenty-two defensively and six on offense—while also allowing some second-chance points due to this deficit on boards.


One notable aspect for fans was that Ohio State capitalized on eight points off turnovers and secured two second-chance points but failed to produce any fast-break points during this matchup.


On the other side of court, Nebraska showcased sharpshooting skills especially from three-point range where they achieved an outstanding fifty-four percent accuracy rate which contributed significantly to their victory margin. They also outperformed in rebounding with thirty-five total rebounds leading to sixteen crucial second-chance points which helped them maintain control throughout most parts of the game.
