Oklahoma State Cowboys Outscore Sooners at Lloyd Noble Center

In a display of competitive spirit, the Oklahoma State Cowboys emerged victorious over the Oklahoma Sooners with a final score of 71-61. The Cowboys' season record now stands at an impressive 0-0, while the Sooners fall to a parallel 0-0.

The match, held at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, was attended by 13,431 spectators who witnessed the Cowboys take control from the start. The first half saw them rack up an impressive 42 points against the Sooners' 28. Although their scoring slowed down in the second half to add only another 29 points to their tally, it was enough to secure their win over the home team.


The Oklahoma State Cowboys showed remarkable efficiency in various aspects of their game. Dominating inside play led them to score a substantial 44 points in paint and they capitalized on turnovers by adding another ten points to their total. Their shooting accuracy from two-point range stood at an effective rate of nearly fifty percent and overall field goal percentage was maintained at forty-three percent throughout.


Defensively, they were just as formidable; grabbing a total of forty-two rebounds with twenty-four being defensive and eighteen offensive rebounds which included six team rebounds. The eight steals by Cowboys players were indicative of their alertness on court and contributed significantly towards keeping pressure on opponents.


On offense, fourteen assists were recorded showing good ball distribution among players which resulted in twenty-nine successful field goals out of sixty-seven attempts. From beyond the arc however, they struggled slightly with only four out of sixteen three-point attempts finding its mark – translating into twenty-five percent success rate from long range.


Free throw performance for Oklahoma State was solid as well; nine out of twelve free throws went through giving them seventy-five percent accuracy from line – crucial points that helped cement their lead over Sooners who managed seventy-three percent free throw accuracy themselves but could not overcome deficit despite making more free throws (twenty-four).


The next game for Oklahoma State is set against TCU Horned Frogs back home at Gallagher-Iba Arena located in Stillwater on February fourth scheduled for seven o'clock PM local time.
