At Allen Fieldhouse, with an attendance of 16,300 fans witnessing every play, Oklahoma State struggled to find their rhythm against a formidable Kansas defense. The Cowboys managed to score only 26 points in the first half and slightly improved with 28 points in the second half. Their field goal percentage was low at 29 percent from an attempted total of 58 shots. From beyond the arc, they shot at a rate of 28 percent with eight three-pointers made out of twenty-nine attempts.

The offensive efforts were hampered by ten turnovers which Kansas capitalized on by scoring nine points off these mistakes. Despite these challenges, Oklahoma State did manage to secure some fast break opportunities contributing seven fast break points to their total score.

Defensively, Oklahoma State gathered thirty rebounds but fell short compared to Kansas's forty-one rebounds which included thirty-six defensive boards. The Cowboys also recorded six steals and one block during their defensive efforts but couldn't contain Kansas's high-powered offense that scored forty-four points in paint alone.

A bright spot for Oklahoma State was their free throw performance where they made twelve out of nineteen attempts resulting in a free throw percentage rounded up to sixty-three percent. However, this was overshadowed by Kansas's seventy-eight percent accuracy from the line.

Looking ahead for Oklahoma State fans is another chance for redemption as they host Kansas State Wildcats at Gallagher-Iba Arena on February 3rd at noon local time (1:00 PM Eastern Time). This upcoming match will be available for viewing on ESPN+, providing supporters another opportunity to rally behind their team as they seek to bounce back from this setback.
