Oklahoma State Cowboys Falter Against Texas Tech Red Raiders at Gallagher-Iba

The Oklahoma State Cowboys faced a challenging contest against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, concluding with a score of 75-58. The Cowboys' season record now stands at an even balance, while the Red Raiders have added another victory to their tally. In a game where every point was hard-fought, the home advantage at Gallagher-Iba Arena wasn't enough to secure a win for the Cowboys.


Oklahoma State Cowboys VS Texas Tech Red Raiders

The first half saw the Cowboys trailing with only 17 points compared to the Red Raiders' commanding 38 points. Despite this deficit, Oklahoma State showed resilience in the second half by adding 41 points to their score. However, it was not sufficient to close the gap as Texas Tech maintained their lead by scoring 37 additional points.


Oklahoma State's performance included notable efforts on both ends of the court. They managed eight steals and two blocks but were outdone by Texas Tech's defensive prowess which resulted in four blocks and an impressive 13 steals. The Cowboys also recorded nine assists throughout the game.


Offensively, Oklahoma State struggled from beyond the arc with a three-point shooting percentage of just 21 percent, making only six out of twenty-eight attempts. Their field goal percentage stood at 37 percent with twenty successful shots out of fifty-four attempts. From inside paint they fared better, scoring twenty-eight points but still fell short against Texas Tech's forty points in that area.


Free throws were another area where Oklahoma State could not match up; they made twelve free throws from seventeen attempts resulting in a free throw percentage of seventy-one percent compared to Texas Tech's near-perfect ninety-two percent from thirteen attempts.


In terms of rebounds, Oklahoma State collected thirty overall – ten offensive and eighteen defensive – while personal fouls were slightly lower than their opponents', totaling thirteen for them against fifteen for Texas Tech.
