Tennessee Volunteers VS Ole Miss Rebels

At Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, the home crowd witnessed an intense matchup where the Ole Miss Rebels fought valiantly but were ultimately outperformed by the Tennessee Volunteers. The game started with promise for the Rebels as they put up a respectable 31 points in the first half against Tennessee's strong defense. However, it was during the second half that they found themselves trailing further behind as they scored an additional 33 points to their total tally.

The Ole Miss offense managed to convert on six out of sixteen three-point attempts, marking a three-point shooting percentage of thirty-eight percent. Their overall field goal percentage stood at forty-three percent with twenty-three successful shots out of fifty-four attempts. From within the paint, they secured thirty points and added another twenty from fast breaks which showcased their ability to capitalize on quick transitions.

Despite their efforts on offense, it was defensively where Ole Miss struggled; they ended up with four blocks and eight steals throughout the game but could not contain Tennessee's scoring drives which resulted in forty-two points in paint for their opponents. On top of that, turnovers proved costly for Ole Miss as eleven player turnovers led directly to sixteen points for Tennessee.

Rebounding also played a significant role in this contest; although both teams had equal offensive rebounds at four each, it was defensive rebounds where there was disparity – with twenty for Ole Miss compared to twenty-two by Tennessee. This contributed to second-chance opportunities that favored Tennessee who scored twenty-two second-chance points over five by Ole Miss.

One bright spot for Rebel fans was free throw accuracy; twelve free throws were made from seventeen attempted resulting in seventy-one percent success rate from the line – an area where precision can make all difference during tight games.

Looking ahead after this tough road loss, fans can mark their calendars for when The Pavilion at Ole Miss will be filled once again with excitement and anticipation as their team takes on Florida Gators next week. Scheduled on January 10th at 9:00 PM local time (Oxford), supporters can catch all action live nationally broadcasted on SEC Network channel six hundred eleven.
