The Pavilion at Ole Miss witnessed a high-scoring affair where both teams showcased their offensive capabilities. The home team, despite falling short on the scoreboard, put up a valiant effort throughout the game. The Rebels started strong in the first half, racking up 44 points to keep pace with Auburn's 35. However, it was in the second half that the Tigers found another gear and outscored Ole Miss by adding an additional 56 points to their tally.

Ole Miss demonstrated efficient ball handling and teamwork with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.5 and only eight turnovers during playtime. Their free throw accuracy was notable as well, sinking shots at a rate of 76 percent from the line. Furthermore, they managed to steal possession five times from their opponents and blocked six attempted shots by Auburn.

Despite these efforts, Auburn's offense proved too potent for Ole Miss's defense to contain for long stretches of time. The visiting team shot an impressive 55 percent from field goal range and even better from two-point range at 62 percent accuracy. Their three-point shooting also made significant contributions to their total score as they hit twelve out of twenty-seven attempts which translates into a solid three-point percentage of around forty-four.

Auburn dominated rebounds on both ends of the court with forty-two total rebounds compared to twenty-six by Ole Miss; this included ten offensive boards that led directly to fifteen second-chance points for them.

Looking ahead after this tough encounter, fans can mark their calendars for when The University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) Rebels will take on South Carolina Gamecocks at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on February 6th at 6:30 PM Eastern Time (ET). This upcoming game will be broadcast nationally on SEC Network channel number six hundred eleven for those who wish to follow along live.
