Can the Ole Miss Rebels Outmaneuver the Kentucky Wildcats at Rupp Arena?

Looking back at their recent game on December 23 against Southern Miss Golden Eagles, MISS demonstrated an offensive masterclass with an 89-72 victory. Their scoring was consistent across both halves, putting up 47 points in the first and following it with another strong 42-point half. What stood out was their impressive three-point shooting percentage of 58 percent and their ability to capitalize on turnovers, scoring 26 points off them.

The defensive prowess of MISS cannot be overlooked either; they racked up a total of 11 steals which played a crucial role in disrupting Southern Miss's flow. Additionally, they managed to maintain discipline by keeping foulouts at bay.

In another notable performance against Troy Trojans on December 20, MISS showcased their defensive tenacity with eight blocks and an astounding number of steals at sixteen. This aggressive defense translated into offense as they scored eighteen fast break points and capitalized heavily on turnovers with thirty-two points scored from those opportunities.

Against California Golden Bears just three days earlier than that game against Troy Trojans, MISS once again proved why they're one of the teams to watch this season. They shot over fifty percent from two-point range and maintained high efficiency from beyond the arc as well as from free throws – hitting fifty-seven percent for threes and eighty-eight percent for free throws respectively.

However, facing UK will be no small feat; Kentucky has its own set of strengths that could pose challenges for Ole Miss. The Wildcats are known for their robust gameplay and have historically been tough competitors on their home turf.

MISS must leverage its high assists turnover ratio which stood out impressively in previous games (2.63 against California). They'll need every bit of that precision passing against UK's defense while also ensuring they keep control over ball possession – minimizing turnovers will be key in maintaining momentum during this away game.

The scheduled date is February 14th at Rupp Arena in Lexington; tip-off is set for February 13th at 9:00 PM EST (02:00 AM GMT).
