Ole Miss Rebels Set to Challenge Texas A&M Aggies at Bridgestone Arena

As the Ole Miss Rebels prepare to face off against the Texas A&M Aggies at Bridgestone Arena, fans are eager for what promises to be an electrifying encounter. The Rebels, coming off a recent game on March 9 where they scored 60 points against the Aggies' impressive 86, are looking to redeem themselves and showcase their resilience.

In their last meeting, the Rebels demonstrated a solid two-point shooting percentage of 50 percent but struggled beyond the arc with only a 29 percent success rate from three-point land. Their free throw performance also left much to be desired at just 50 percent. Despite these challenges, Ole Miss managed fast break points equaling those of Texas A&M and showed tenacity in steals with eight each.

The Aggies, on the other hand, had an overall field goal percentage of 50 percent in their last game against Ole Miss and excelled in rebounding with a total of 50 rebounds—more than double that of MISS. Their balanced attack was evident as they matched their inside game with strong perimeter shooting; hitting half of their three-point attempts.

However, it's worth noting that while TXAM's offensive prowess is formidable, they did show vulnerability by turning over the ball twelve times. This is an area where MISS must capitalize if they want to control the pace and flow of the upcoming game.

Looking back further into Rebel history reveals more about their potential for growth. On March 6 against Georgia Bulldogs, despite falling short by three points (66-69), MISS showed improved free throw accuracy at an impressive rate of 83 percent but again struggled from downtown making only six out of twenty-two attempts from beyond the arc.

The key for Ole Miss will be finding consistency in scoring while tightening up defensively to limit second-chance points which have been a sore spot in past performances. The team's ability to convert turnovers into points will also be crucial as it could shift momentum in their favor during critical stretches.

With all eyes set on March 14th at Bridgestone Arena scheduled for tip-off at 6:00 PM Central Time (-05:00), fans can catch all the action live on SEC Network. The Rebels have shown flashes of brilliance throughout this season; now is their chance to shine brightly on one of college basketball’s biggest stages and prove that they can compete with top-tier teams like Texas A&M Aggies.
