Ole Miss Rebels' Paint Struggles: Oklahoma Sooners Dominate with Precision Shooting

The Ole Miss Rebels faced off against the Oklahoma Sooners in a challenging matchup at the Lloyd Noble Center. First Half

The first half saw both teams exchanging leads multiple times. The Rebels managed to keep pace with the Sooners, ending the half just two points behind at 41-43. Malik Dia led Ole Miss in scoring during this period, contributing significantly to their offensive efforts. However, it was clear that Oklahoma's efficiency from beyond the arc and inside play were setting them apart.

Second Half

As play resumed, Ole Miss struggled to maintain their momentum. The Sooners capitalized on this opportunity by extending their lead through effective ball movement and sharp shooting from three-point range. AJ Storr tried to rally his team with crucial plays but found limited support as turnovers began to plague Ole Miss' performance.

Key Performances

Patton Pinkins emerged as a standout player for Ole Miss with an impressive field goal percentage of 82 percent and leading his team in scoring with 25 points. Despite his efforts, Oklahoma's balanced attack proved too much for the Landsharks' defense which allowed them only five steals throughout the game compared to six by Oklahoma.

In contrast, Oklahoma showcased superior teamwork highlighted by their assist-to-turnover ratio of over two assists per turnover which facilitated numerous scoring opportunities across all quarters.

Conclusion

The game concluded without any major incidents or injuries reported on either side; however post-game interviews revealed frustration among some Rebel players regarding missed chances during critical moments of play - sentiments echoed during our exclusive "Ole Miss Rebels post-game interviews."
