In a closely contested conference game at Maples Pavilion, the Oregon Ducks faced off against the Stanford Cardinal. The Ducks, with a season record of 0-0 before this game, scored 64 points against the Cardinal's 71. The first half saw the Ducks ahead with 37 points to the Cardinal's 42, but they couldn't maintain their momentum in the second half, adding only another 27 points to their tally.

Oregon Ducks VS Stanford Cardinal

The Oregon Ducks showcased a balanced offensive effort with contributions across the board. They made an impressive ten three-pointers out of thirty attempts, translating to a three-point percentage of roughly 33 percent. Inside the arc was less fruitful for them; they shot just under 43 percent on two-point attempts. From the free-throw line, they were more efficient, making ten out of fourteen shots for an approximate free throw percentage of 71 percent.

Defensively, both teams were evenly matched with each recording two blocks and close rebound numbers; however, it was in steals where Oregon showed greater defensive activity by claiming eight compared to Stanford's six. Despite this effort on defense and scoring fifteen points off turnovers thanks to thirteen takeaways from Stanford players' hands – one more than what Stanford managed – it wasn't enough to secure victory.

The Ducks also demonstrated good ball movement throughout the game with eleven assists but struggled slightly in ball retention as evidenced by their thirteen turnovers. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at just below one (0.92). On rebounds front, they pulled down thirty-four boards – twenty-two defensively and twelve offensively – which included team rebounds.

The home team had a higher shooting accuracy overall; Stanford made fifty percent of their field goal attempts and nearly forty percent from beyond the arc while converting approximately seventy-seven percent from free throw line which contributed significantly to their win over Oregon.

As for individual performances from both sides that stood out: there were no foul outs or ejections during this intense matchup which kept key players on court throughout most of game time until clock ran down without any track on court incidents reported either.
