Oregon State Beavers VS Idaho State Bengals

The Oregon State Beavers, playing on their home court, started strong with an equal first-half performance, both teams scoring 33 points. However, despite their efforts and a supportive crowd of 3,482 fans, they couldn't maintain the momentum into the second half. The Beavers matched their first-half output with another 33 points but were outdone by the Vikings' aggressive play which saw them put up 42 points after halftime.

The Beavers shot an identical field goal percentage as their two-point attempts at 54 percent but struggled beyond the arc with only a 15 percent success rate from three-point range. They made just two three-pointers out of thirteen attempts. On free throws, they performed better with a commendable completion rate of approximately 77 percent resulting in making 24 out of their total attempts.

On defense and rebounding fronts, both teams were neck and neck; however, it was on turnovers where differences became apparent. The Oregon State squad turned over possession eighteen times compared to fourteen by Portland State which translated into nine points off turnovers for the home side versus twenty-one for the visitors.

Portland State's offense was firing well throughout the game as they achieved a field goal percentage of approximately 46 percent and excelled at free throws with an impressive accuracy rate of about 91 percent – sinking nineteen shots from twenty-one attempts. Their proficiency from long range also contributed significantly to their victory; they hit eight out of twenty-three three-point shots giving them an approximate success rate of thirty-five percent.

The Vikings capitalized on opportunities provided by turnovers more effectively than did Oregon State – scoring twenty-one points from these chances compared to nine by Oregon's side. Additionally noteworthy is that both teams had similar assist-to-turnover ratios; however Portland's was slightly higher at around one point zero seven compared to approximately zero point four four for Oregon.

Looking ahead after this setback, fans can mark their calendars for when Veterans Memorial Coliseum will host another exciting game featuring Oregon State Beavers against Duke Blue Devils on November twenty-fourth at eight o'clock Eastern Standard Time broadcasted nationally on ESPN channel two hundred six. This upcoming contest promises to be another opportunity for Beaver fans to rally behind their team as they continue through this season’s challenges.
