The game was held at Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in Seattle, where 7,376 fans witnessed a battle that saw two ties and two lead changes throughout its duration. The Beavers showed determination as they entered halftime trailing by five points but managed to rack up 39 points in the second half compared to their initial 33.

Oregon State's performance was marked by solid shooting from beyond the arc with ten three-pointers made out of 26 attempts resulting in a commendable three-point percentage of 38 percent. They also maintained an aggressive stance inside with 22 points scored in the paint. However, it was their free throw accuracy that suffered slightly; converting only ten out of fifteen attempts gave them a free throw percentage of just 67 percent.

Defensively, Oregon State managed one block and four steals while committing 23 personal fouls throughout the game. Their rebounding efforts led them to gather a total of 25 rebounds – four offensive and seventeen defensive – which contributed significantly to their scoring opportunities via second-chance points totaling ten.

On offense, they executed well with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.25 based on ten assists against eight turnovers; however this wasn't enough as they struggled against Washington's defense which forced six points off turnovers.

They also dominated inside scoring with twenty-eight points coming from within the paint and secured more rebounds than Oregon State totaling thirty-two.
