Can Oregon State Beavers Bounce Back After Falling to Bruins at Pauley Pavilion?

The Oregon State Beavers faced a challenging contest against the UCLA Bruins, culminating in a 63-71 defeat. The Beavers now stand with their record reflecting the outcome of this intense conference game. Despite a valiant effort, they were unable to secure victory on the road.

However, it wasn't enough to overcome the home team's performance.

Defensively, Oregon State recorded five blocks and matched that number with five steals but committed sixteen personal fouls over the course of play. On offense, they tallied six assists but had twelve turnovers which affected their assist-turnover ratio negatively at zero point five.


In terms of rebounds, they grabbed twenty-five boards; four offensive rebounds contributed to four second-chance points while twenty-one defensive rebounds helped limit UCLA's opportunities. They scored thirty-two points in paint and added six points off turnovers.


On UCLA's side, they finished with seventy-one total points after scoring thirty-three in half one and thirty-eight following intermission. Their field goal percentage stood at forty-two percent overall with forty-five percent success on two-pointers and thirty-seven percent from three-point land where they made seven shots.


UCLA also capitalized on free throws making fourteen out of nineteen for seventy-four percent efficiency while collecting more rebounds than Oregon State with a total count at thirty-six including thirteen offensive boards leading to nine second-chance points.
