USC Trojans VS Oregon State Beavers

The Oregon State Beavers faced challenges from the onset. Despite their efforts, they could only muster 23 points in the first half and improved slightly with 31 in the second. Their field goal percentage stood at 35 percent for the game, which was overshadowed by USC's more efficient rate of 49 percent. From beyond the arc, Oregon State managed to convert five out of eighteen attempts resulting in a three-point shooting percentage of just 28 percent.

On defense, both teams recorded five blocks each; however, it was on rebounds where there was clear daylight between them – with Oregon State grabbing only twenty-four compared to USC's forty-four rebounds. This disparity contributed significantly to second-chance opportunities for USC who capitalized with twenty-five second-chance points against eleven from Oregon State.

Oregon State did show some resilience on free throws making thirteen out of seventeen attempts which translated into an impressive seventy-six percent accuracy rate from the line. However, this proficiency could not compensate for their struggles elsewhere on court as they were outscored forty to sixteen points in paint and fifteen to nine points off turnovers by an assertive Trojan team.

The Trojans also demonstrated superior ball distribution ending up with twenty-two assists over ten from Oregon State and maintained better control over possession evidenced by their higher assist-turnover ratio (2.75) compared to that of Oregon State (0.83). Additionally, personal fouls were almost even between both sides – twenty-three for Beaver players versus twenty for those representing USC.
