The Panthers have been demonstrating a strong performance this season, as evidenced by their recent victory over the Golden Griffins on December 9th. With an impressive score of 82 points against their opponents' 71, it was clear that PITT had control over both halves of the game. Their offensive strategy was particularly effective; they shot a remarkable 53 percent from the field and an exceptional 50 percent from beyond the arc. The team also showed a balanced defense and offense with eight steals and an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.

In contrast, when looking at PFW's past performances, there seems to be room for improvement if they wish to contend with PITT's robust gameplay. However, it would be unwise to underestimate them as every game brings new opportunities and challenges.

PITT’s ability to capitalize on turnovers will likely play a significant role in their upcoming game against PFW. In their last encounter with Canisius College Golden Griffins, they scored 16 points off turnovers which could prove detrimental for any team that loses possession frequently.

One potential area of concern for PITT might be free throw accuracy; during their last home game against Clemson Tigers on December 3rd, they only made around half of their free throws. If this trend continues into future games including against PFW, it could leave valuable points unclaimed.

The defensive efforts should not go unnoticed either; in both previous games mentioned above (against Canisius College Golden Griffins and Clemson Tigers), PITT managed four blocks each time which speaks volumes about their defensive presence under the rim.

Fans can expect that if Pittsburgh Panthers maintain this level of play—especially in terms of shooting accuracy and creating scoring opportunities from defensive plays—they will likely dominate proceedings once again at Petersen Events Center come December 21st.

For those who bleed blue and gold or simply love college basketball action-packed games filled with strategic plays and athletic prowess should not miss out! The showdown between Pittsburgh Panthers and Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons is set for tip-off at Petersen Events Center on Wednesday evening. Fans can catch all live-action via ACC Network Extra online broadcast network starting at midnight Eastern Time.
