Can Pittsburgh Panthers Maintain Momentum at Hank McCamish Pavilion?

From the onset, the Pittsburgh Panthers demonstrated a robust offensive strategy at Hank McCamish Pavilion. The team's field goal percentage was an effective 48 percent, and they were particularly sharp from beyond the arc, hitting 42 percent of their three-point attempts. The first half saw them put up 31 points against Georgia Tech's 27.

The second half showcased the Panther's ability to adjust and escalate their play as they racked up an additional 41 points. Their scoring was bolstered by making 76 percent of their free throws and maintaining a solid two-point shooting performance at a rate of 52 percent. Points in the paint were also a significant contributor to their offense, tallying up to 22.

Defensively, Pittsburgh held its ground with six steals and four blocks throughout the game. They outrebounded Georgia Tech by securing 33 rebounds—23 defensive and eight offensive—compared to Georgia Tech's total rebound count of 31.

A key aspect for Pittsburgh was capitalizing on turnovers; they scored 13 points off turnovers while committing fewer errors themselves with only eleven turnovers during playtime. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an admirable figure of approximately one point eighteen.

Georgia Tech made commendable efforts as well; despite trailing behind in shooting efficiency with only thirty-nine percent from field goals overall and thirty-two percent from three-point range, they managed to stay competitive throughout both halves. They ended strong in fast break situations scoring six fast break points but ultimately could not overcome Pittsburgh's consistent performance across both halves.

Looking ahead for fans of the Pittsburgh Panthers is another exciting matchup as they travel to face Miami (FL) Hurricanes at Watsco Center on January twenty-seventh at two fifteen PM Eastern Time. This game will be broadcast nationally on The CW network where fans can tune in for live coverage as these conference rivals clash on court once again.
