Panthers Edge Out Wolfpack in a Close Encounter at PNC Arena

The Pittsburgh Panthers improved their season record to 1-0 after narrowly defeating the North Carolina State Wolfpack with a final score of 67-64. The Panthers, showcasing resilience on the road, managed to hold off a determined Wolfpack side that fell short despite a strong second-half performance.

In an intense matchup at PNC Arena, the Pittsburgh Panthers demonstrated their offensive capabilities by scoring 38 points in the first half and finishing with an overall field goal percentage of 42. Their two-point shots were particularly effective, with a conversion rate of 55 percent. The free throw line was also kind to the Panthers as they capitalized on these opportunities, shooting an impressive 90 percent.
