The Purdue Boilermakers showcased their offensive skills by scoring 47 points in the first half and adding another 45 in the second. Their shooting was efficient from both inside and outside the arc, hitting 50 percent from two-point range and an impressive 44 percent from three-point territory. The team also excelled at free throws, sinking them at an outstanding rate of 86 percent.

Defensively, Purdue managed to block two shots and came away with nine steals. They dominated on rebounds with a total of 37 compared to Alabama's 32, which included ten offensive boards that contributed to their second-chance points tallying up to 14. The Boilermakers' ability to take care of the ball was evident as they maintained a favorable assist-to-turnover ratio of approximately two.

On offense, key contributions came from across the team as they racked up a total of twenty-two assists. Their ability to convert opportunities into points was highlighted by their eleven points off turnovers. Despite facing personal foul trouble fifteen times during play, Purdue kept its composure throughout.

The Alabama Crimson Tide put up a valiant effort against their higher-ranked opponents but fell short despite outscoring them in fast break points with fourteen and matching second-chance points at fourteen each. They were more aggressive on blocks with five but suffered due to personal fouls totaling twenty-five which led to two players being fouled out.

Alabama demonstrated strong three-point shooting capabilities by making nineteen out of forty-six attempts resulting in approximately forty-one percent success rate; however, it wasn't enough against Purdue's balanced attack on both ends of the court.

Fans can look forward to watching their beloved Purdue Boilermakers face off against Arizona Wildcats next time on December sixteen at nine thirty PM Eastern Time at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. This game will be available for viewing through Peacock network online services.
