At Assembly Hall, fans witnessed a masterclass from the Boilermakers as they executed a balanced offensive and defensive strategy. The team's shooting accuracy was on display with a field goal percentage of 47 and a remarkable free throw completion rate of 82 percent. Their prowess from beyond the arc contributed significantly to their scoreline as they made seven three-pointers at a rate of 37 percent.

The Boilermakers were relentless in defense as well, accumulating seven steals and two blocks over the course of play. This defensive pressure translated into offense with Purdue scoring nine fast break points and capitalizing on turnovers by adding another fourteen points off them.

Rebounding was another area where Purdue excelled; they outrebounded Indiana by eight boards overall, securing forty-two rebounds including ten offensive grabs which led to fourteen second-chance points. This effort on the glass demonstrated their physicality and determination throughout both halves.

Purdue also displayed commendable teamwork with fourteen assists that helped dismantle Indiana's defense. Their assist-to-turnover ratio stood at an efficient 1.75 indicating smart ball-handling against aggressive opposition.

On Indiana's side, despite being outplayed in several aspects of the game, there were notable efforts including three blocks and four steals which showed moments of resilience defensively. They managed to score more effectively during fast breaks than Purdue with fourteen fast break points but struggled from both field goal range (42 percent) and especially from free throws where they only made four out of nine attempts for a lowly forty-four percent completion rate.

As fans look ahead after this commanding performance by Purdue Boilermakers basketball team, attention turns towards their next challenge which will be away against Iowa Hawkeyes at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City.
