In a game that saw five ties and four lead changes, the Scarlet Knights managed to outlast their opponents at Jersey Mike's Arena. The home team's defensive efforts were highlighted by seven steals and four blocks, contributing to their overall performance. Despite shooting only 31 percent from the field and 18 percent from beyond the arc, Rutgers made up for it at the free-throw line with an impressive 71 percent accuracy.

The Scarlet Knights dominated on rebounds with a total of 51 compared to the Bulldogs' 34. This advantage was particularly evident on offensive boards where Rutgers grabbed 17 rebounds leading to 17 second-chance points. Their ability to capitalize on turnovers was also notable as they scored eight points off of Bryant's mistakes.

On offense, Rutgers' scoring was balanced across halves with 29 points in the first and an improved output of 37 in the second half. Their fast-break execution proved effective as they racked up a significant total of fast-break points.

The Bryant Bulldogs put up a resilient fight despite falling short in several statistical categories. They managed seven blocks and recorded twelve steals showing glimpses of strong defensive play but were hindered by committing twenty-five personal fouls which limited their momentum throughout the game.

Bryant’s offense relied heavily on two-point attempts where they shot approximately forty-four percent but struggled from three-point range connecting on just six out of twenty-three attempts for twenty-six percent accuracy. Their free throw percentage stood at sixty-four percent which could not match that of Rutgers’ performance from the line.

As fans look ahead, they can anticipate seeing more action from their team as The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are scheduled to face off against Georgetown Hoyas next week. This upcoming contest will take place at Jersey Mike's Arena in Piscataway on November 16th at around eight-thirty PM Eastern Time.
