In front of a packed house at Jersey Mike's Arena, the Scarlet Knights showcased their defensive skills by accumulating four blocks and nine steals throughout the game. Their offense was equally impressive, with an overall field goal percentage of 45 and converting nine out of twenty-four three-point attempts for a solid 37 percent from beyond the arc. The team also capitalized on turnovers, scoring twenty-five points off Georgetown's mistakes.

The home team demonstrated their speed and agility by scoring twenty fast break points against the Hoyas. Additionally, they were able to convert fifteen out of twenty-nine two-point attempts which translated into an efficient shooting rate of approximately 52 percent inside the paint. Despite struggling slightly from the free-throw line with a percentage just over fifty-eight, Rutgers managed to secure fourteen points from these opportunities.

On defense, they limited their personal fouls to sixteen and showed tenacity on both ends of the court by grabbing twenty-nine rebounds—twenty-one defensively and six offensively.

On the other side, Georgetown fought valiantly but struggled with accuracy from both field goals and three-point range—shooting approximately thirty-five percent for field goals and only making seven out of twenty-five three-pointers for about twenty-eight percent success rate. However, they excelled at free throws with an eighty-one percent completion rate contributing seventeen points to their total score.
