First Half


The first half saw Nebraska taking an early lead with their aggressive playstyle, scoring 41 points. The Huskers capitalized on their shooting efficiency, making 47 percent of their field goals and maintaining control with only six turnovers. Meanwhile, Rutgers struggled to find their rhythm offensively and defensively, managing just 27 points by halftime.


Second Half


In the second half, the Scarlet Knights mounted a spirited comeback attempt led by Dylan Grant and Kaden Powers. Grant contributed significantly with his scoring prowess while Powers added crucial points from beyond the arc. Despite outscoring Nebraska in this period with 41 points compared to Nebraska's 39, Rutgers couldn't close the gap entirely due to turnovers and missed opportunities at critical moments.

Darren Buchanan Jr.'s performance was noteworthy as he provided stability on both ends of the court for Rutgers. His efforts were complemented by Jamichael Davis who added defensive pressure but it wasn't enough against a well-rounded Huskers team that excelled in assists and rebounds throughout.
