From the outset, the San Diego State Aztecs took control of the game, ending the first half with a strong lead of 41 points to the Rams' 26. The home team's offense was relentless throughout, as they maintained their advantage and concluded with an additional 36 points in the second half. The Rams fought back valiantly but could only muster up another 32 points after halftime.

The Aztecs excelled in various aspects of play. Their shooting accuracy was notable with a field goal percentage of about 48 percent and an even more impressive two-point shooting rate of approximately 61 percent. They also outperformed from behind the free-throw line by sinking around 83 percent of their attempts.

Defensively, San Diego State was just as formidable; they tallied three blocks and nine steals during play. This defensive pressure contributed to turning over possession frequently, allowing them to score fifteen points off turnovers compared to eleven by Colorado State.

Rebounding was another area where San Diego State outshone their opponents; they collected twenty-nine rebounds in total – nineteen defensively and ten offensively – giving them crucial second-chance opportunities which led to nine second-chance points.

The visiting Rams were not without merit; they managed a respectable field goal percentage themselves at roughly 48 percent and were particularly effective inside the paint where they scored thirty-four points. However, this wasn't enough to challenge an efficient Aztec side that seemed determined not to let up.

As for individual performances from both teams will be remembered for some time due to several standout players making significant contributions on both ends of the floor for their respective teams.

Looking ahead, fans can catch The San Diego State Aztecs next when they face off against New Mexico Lobos away from home at The Pit in Albuquerque on February 25th at eight o'clock PM Pacific Time. This game will be broadcasted nationally on CBS Sports Network channel two hundred twenty-one for those who wish to follow along live.
