In their last game on February 10th against Nevada's Wolf Pack, SDSU showed resilience but ultimately fell short in overtime with a final score of 66-70. Despite this setback, there were positive takeaways from the game that suggest potential for an upcoming victory. The team demonstrated strong free throw capabilities with an impressive 85 percent completion rate and maintained a solid two-point field goal percentage at 57 percent. However, turnovers proved costly for SDSU as they matched their opponents' total of 16.

Earlier in February, on the 7th against Air Force's Falcons, SDSU showcased what they're capable of when firing on all cylinders. They secured a convincing win with a scoreline of 77-64 that was underpinned by an exceptional three-point shooting performance – hitting half of their attempts from beyond the arc.

The most telling performance came during their home stand-off against Utah State Aggies where SDSU emerged victorious with an emphatic scoreline of 81-67. Their offensive prowess was on full display as they achieved nearly equal points in paint compared to Utah State and capitalized significantly from turnovers.

SDSU's defense will need to be particularly vigilant against Fresno State; it’s imperative that they reduce personal fouls and tighten up around the perimeter if they wish to contain FRES' offense which has shown bursts of efficiency throughout this season.

The upcoming game is not just about bouncing back but also setting a tone for future encounters as conference play intensifies. The Aztecs have demonstrated that when synchronized, both offensively and defensively, they can dismantle any opposition put before them.

Fans eagerly awaiting this matchup should mark their calendars for February 24th at 7:00 PM PST when these two teams collide in Fresno.
