First Half

From the outset, SDSU showcased their offensive prowess by scoring an impressive 46 points in the first half. Reese Dixon-Waters led the charge with his sharp shooting, contributing significantly to his team's early dominance. The Aztecs' defense was equally formidable, limiting Utah State's opportunities and holding them to just 33 points by halftime.

Second Half

In the second half, San Diego continued to assert their dominance on both ends of the court. Taj DeGourville's playmaking abilities were on full display as he orchestrated several key plays that kept SDSU ahead. The team capitalized on fast break opportunities and maintained a high shooting percentage from beyond the arc.

Despite a spirited effort from Utah State's bench players who contributed 24 points overall, they struggled to close the gap against an efficient SDSU squad that boasted a field goal percentage of 54 percent for the game. Magoon Gwath also made his presence felt with crucial rebounds and defensive stops that thwarted any potential comeback from Utah State.

Final Whistle

As fans celebrated this decisive win at Viejas Arena, attention now turns towards what went wrong for San Diego State Aztecs in terms of turnovers which they will need to address moving forward. In post-game interviews, players expressed satisfaction with their performance but acknowledged areas for improvement.

Looking ahead, SDSU is set to face New Mexico Lobos next at The Pit in Albuquerque on February 28th at 2:00 PM EDT. Fans can catch all live action broadcasted nationally on CBS TV network.
